FIFA rules will apply to all matches including the below revisions:
1. No slide tackles. A player may slide to keep a ball in play or clear a shot off the goal line but only if there are no opposing players in the vicinity. Otherwise it is deemed a slide tackle and a free kick to the opposing team. (We will be adding a division which allows slide tackles in the future).
2. Teams have unlimited substitutions during the match and players can re-enter the field after being substituted. Teams can substitute at any dead ball pending the referees discretion and acknowledgement.
Misconduct:
If a player on your team receives a booking and they are not registered on your online roster, your team will receive a $50 fine for EACH offense. This is because ALL players must sign a waiver in order to play and if they are not on your roster they have not signed the waiver, they pay a fine. Please avoid this by having all subs sign the waiver beforehand.
Yellow Cards:
When a player is cautioned by a yellow card, the player must be substituted right away and will not be let back on until they have provided their drivers license as identification to the referee. This will happen on a subsequent dead ball.
Red Cards:
A player who is red carded will have to leave the field of play immediately and will no longer be able participate in the current match. The player will not be allowed a substitute thus leaving their team a player down.
Card Accumulation:
Three yellow cards in a season warrants a one match suspension after the third offense. Each red card will be evaluated by the league and will generally result in a one or two match suspension. If the offense is great enough, it could call for a season long or league ban.
